INSTANT MEMORIES. Images taken from reality, becoming memories when printed. The idea of “memories” is reinforced by the style of editing. Some parts of the photos are erased, instead of other parts which are colorful and draw your attention by their particular shapes. The photo collages look fragmented, as an image composed of several layers, just like memories (and dreams or nightmares).The images I used for making the photo collages of course come from my reality, but they can evoke all different kinds of feelings or emotions. ‘That summer night, that place, when I was young’: my photo collages provide you (a memory to) a memory.
Convenient in an age we live in, where we are always busy running towards the future. My INSTANT MEMORIES are an ode to standing still, stillness and reflection.
